Comprehensive Dental Exams
It is important to have regular dental exams and cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy. During our comprehensive dental exams, we use advanced technology to detect problems early. Digital X-rays eliminate much of the exposure to radiation that is common with traditional X-rays, and they quickly produce a digital image that both you and your dentist can view. We also use our DIAGNOdent® diagnostic system to find cavities in their earliest stages and treat them before they require extensive work.
Missing teeth can cause a variety of problems – from difficulty chewing to the shifting of teeth – that can require advanced orthodontics. Whether you have lost a few teeth or all of your teeth, we can create full or partial dentures to replace your teeth and restore your smile. Our custom-made dentures make speaking and eating easier.
With advancements in implant dentistry, we can now stabilize your full or partial dentures with dental implants. One implant is often enough to stabilize a partial denture, while a row of implants are typically used to stabilize a full set of dentures. Contact Kendall Dental Associates to learn more about stabilizing your dentures with dental implants.
The main cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal (gum) disease. Gums that have pulled away from the teeth and bleed easily are showing signs of gum disease that, if left untreated, can lead to tooth loss. Our soft tissue management program can reverse gum disease and restore your mouth to a healthy condition. A plan of treatments and regular brushing and flossing can help eliminate periodontal disease. We remove tartar and plaque from the teeth, gums, and below the gum line to treat the disease.
Endodontic (Root Canal) Therapy
When a tooth has been damaged, or decay has affected the pulp, endodontic (root canal) therapy can help save it. With rotary endodontics equipment, we can remove the infected pulp quickly. A tooth is weakened following endodontic therapy, so we will typically recommend a dental crown or other restoration to protect it from damage.
Although we always strive to save each tooth, if decay or injury has severely damaged a tooth, it may need to be removed. Tooth extractions performed by our dentists are extremely quick and gentle. If a tooth is removed, we will recommend a dental bridge or dental implant to fill the space and prevent surrounding teeth from shifting into the gap.
We do everything we can to make dental visits for our young patients as comfortable as possible, and we offer preventative care to protect children’s teeth from decay and other damage.
