About Our Practice
Kendall Dental Associates has been serving the dental needs of patients throughout South Florida since 1973. Whether you require general dental care, or a cosmetic or restorative procedure to improve the appearance and function of your teeth, we offer everything you need at our two convenient South Florida locations.
Kendall Office – Our beautiful main office, located in the Kendall Mall, is decorated in a tropical theme.
Key Largo Office – Our office in Key Largo offers our full range of dental services, including oral surgery and orthodontics.
Advanced Technologies
At our Miami location, we offer advanced technologies and amenities to help make your dental experience as comfortable, pain free, and rewarding as possible.
CAESY® Patient Education System – We offer this interactive, multimedia educational system in both English and Spanish. Through video and narration, you will learn exactly what to expect from your dental procedures.
Digital X-rays – Digital X-rays expose you to less radiation than traditional X-rays, and quickly produce results that be viewed on a computer screen.
CEREC® Restorations – The CEREC® 3D system allows us to perform restorative procedures, such as the placement of porcelain crowns and veneers, in just one visit.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation – To help ease your dental anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide sedation. You will inhale nitrous oxide gas, also known as laughing gas, during your procedure to help you relax.
Intraoral Camera – This camera allows our dentists to view a magnified image of your teeth on a computer screen.
DIAGNOdent® Laser Cavity Detector – The DIAGNOdent® system uses a laser to detect cavities in their earliest stages, before they are detectible by X-rays or the naked eye.
Spanish-speaking Staff – We have Spanish-speaking staff members at both of our locations in South Florida.
Same-Day Emergency Care – If you have a dental emergency, we will do our best to see you the same day that you contact our office.

Laurence T. Huber, D.D.S.
Laurence Todd Huber, D.D.S., has been in practice for over 30 years and keeps up to date in the latest developments in dentistry by continually incorporating new technologies and techniques into his practice. His regular patients appreciate his gentle chairside manner and personal attention, and often comment on his warm, inviting office.
Dr. Huber believes that dentistry is a combination of biology, artistry, mechanics, and psychology, and combines these aspects in his practice as a cosmetic and comprehensive dentist. Art has been an important part of his family's life for many generations, and this legacy has given Dr. Huber an eye for aesthetics that allows him to visualize how even simple changes, such as teeth whitening or porcelain veneers, can improve your appearance. Dr. Huber is experienced in teeth whitening, recontouring and Invisalign® invisible braces, and he is certified in the placement of Procera® crowns and the placement and restoration of dental implants.
In addition to being a clinical associate professor at the University of Florida's School of Dentistry, Dr. Huber is also a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Huber has been recognized as an outstanding dentist by several publications. Coral Gables Living magazine named him as one of the region’s “Top Beauty Docs,” and he was recognized as one of the top 20 cosmetic dentists in South Florida by Miami Beauty magazine. Lourdes Arguelles-Prieto, D.M.D.
Dr. Lourdes Arguelles-Prieto followed a family tradition when she graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and began her dental career. Both of her parents were dentists, and her husband is a well-known pediatric dentist. At Kendall Dental Associates, she is known to her patients as a highly skilled and compassionate dentist.
Dr. Arguelles-Prieto is experienced in the placement of dental implants, and is a member of several implant dentistry organizations, including the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Society of Osseointegration, and the American College of Implantology.
Jose J. Alvarez, D.M.D.
Dr. Jose J. Alvarez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1994, and completed a residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Alvarez is highly skilled in implant dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellow of the Misch Implant Institute. Dr. Alvarez is also experienced in the administration of sedation techniques and is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
